Speaker & Sponsor Campaigns: Turn Your Speakers and Sponsors Into Your Best Marketing Channel

By Attendir Team

Your speakers have audiences that trust them. Your sponsors have marketing teams that need to justify their investment. Both groups are sitting on a goldmine of potential event registrations — and most organizers leave this channel almost entirely untapped.

Today we're launching three features that make speaker and sponsor campaigns a first-class workflow in Attendir.

What's New

1. Custom Landing Page Labels

Every Attendir campaign now has a Landing Page Label field. This controls the text shown on tracked landing pages (/go/{slug}) above the advocate's name.

The default is "Recommended by" — perfect for general attendee campaigns. But for speakers, you can set it to "Speaking at", and for sponsors, "Proud sponsor of." This small change makes a big difference in how the landing page reads to visitors.

When someone clicks through a speaker's share, they land on a page that says "Speaking at [Event Name]" with the speaker's photo and name. That's a personal endorsement that carries far more weight than a generic recommendation.

2. Bulk Email Invites

You can now invite speakers and sponsors directly from the campaign dashboard. Click Send Invites, paste a list of email addresses, and Attendir dispatches personalized invitation emails to each one.

No more copy-pasting share links into individual emails. No more tracking who you've sent to in a spreadsheet. Paste your speaker roster, hit send, and move on.

3. Speaker & Sponsor Templates

Two new campaign templates make setup even faster:

  • Speaker Promotion — Pre-fills the campaign name, sets the landing page label to "Speaking at," and includes speaker-focused share copy
  • Sponsor Campaign — Pre-fills with "Proud sponsor of" labeling and sponsor-appropriate messaging

Select a template when creating a new campaign and the form auto-fills with sensible defaults. You can customize everything before saving.

Why This Matters

Speakers and sponsors are your most underutilized marketing channel. Here's why:

Speakers have highly relevant audiences. A speaker's LinkedIn followers are almost perfectly aligned with your target attendee. Their connections are in the same industry, interested in the same topics, and far more likely to register than a cold audience from paid ads.

Sponsors need to show ROI. Every sponsor wants to demonstrate that their investment is working. A branded sharing card that says "Proud sponsor of [Event]" gives them a tangible asset to share with their network — and you can show them exactly how many views and clicks their shares generated.

The compounding effect. When speakers share early (4-6 weeks out), they drive a first wave of registrations. Those registrants enter the attendee advocacy flow and share with their own networks, creating a second wave. The result: your speakers seed the viral loop that attendees amplify.

How to Set It Up

For speakers:

  1. Create a new campaign and select the Speaker Promotion template
  2. The landing page label auto-fills to "Speaking at" and share copy is speaker-focused
  3. Customize the share text and campaign image if needed
  4. Click Send Invites on the campaign page and paste your speaker email list
  5. Each speaker receives an invitation with their personalized sharing card

For sponsors:

  1. Create a new campaign and select the Sponsor Campaign template
  2. The landing page label auto-fills to "Proud sponsor of"
  3. Adjust the share copy and branding for your sponsor tier
  4. Send invites to your sponsor contacts

You can run attendee, speaker, and sponsor campaigns simultaneously on the same event. Each campaign has its own analytics, share text, and landing page label — so you can track the performance of each audience segment independently.

The Playbook: Combining Speaker + Sponsor + Attendee Campaigns

The most effective approach runs three campaigns in sequence:

Weeks 6-4: Speaker campaign. Send invites to your speaker roster. Their shares create initial awareness and drive early registrations from highly relevant audiences.

Weeks 4-2: Sponsor campaign. Activate your sponsors. Their shares reach a different but complementary audience — typically broader industry contacts and company followers.

Weeks 2-0: Attendee campaign. Newly registered attendees (many driven by speaker and sponsor shares) now get their own sharing cards. They amplify the message to their networks, creating the viral growth loop.

Each layer builds on the last. Speakers seed awareness. Sponsors add credibility and reach. Attendees provide the volume.
